Food Tech week ready to roll

Food Tech Week, the London showcase of companies and trends shaping the future of food, launches next Monday (17 October)—and CGA Peach has a special discount on event tickets.

The Week runs until Friday (21 October), and is aiming to change attitudes and behaviour towards food via technology. Lab-grown meat, Blockchain, artificial intelligence, 3D printing and hydroponics will be among the pioneering technologies spotlighted over the week via talks, debates, immersive experiences and product showcases.

Each of the five days of Food Tech Week will follow a theme: sustainability; the future of food; the power of digital and consumer engagement; the future of dining and restaurant innovation; and collaborative innovation and investment. Speakers will include Lisa Tookey, Commercial Director of the Jamie Oliver Group, Danielle Nierenberg, President of Food Tank, Patrick Drake, CEO of Hello Fresh, and Jason Hirst, Founder of Evogro. Thursday’s Future of Dining session will include a case study of the collaboration between London restaurant Whyte & Brown and the Happytables start-up, and a pop-up restaurant using latest digital dining technology.
