Extending brands, creating loyalty – it’s all down to digital

Like it or not, we are living in a digital age, with social media the preferred means of communication for large swathes of the population. But how to use it effectively and efficiently in the eating and drinking out arena? Brands such as Wagamama, Pho and London Union are among those setting the standard.

London Union founder Henry Dimbleby, head of marketing at the Vietnamese restaurant group Pho Libby Andrews and head of digital and loyalty at Wagamama Andre Johnstone will be joining the speakers’ roster at this year’s CGA Peach Consumer Insight & Marketing Conference in London on 6 April to discuss their approaches to an evolving discipline. How much is art, how much is science and what’s hitting the spot?

The theme this year’s CGA Peach conference is Championing the Consumer, and the trio will be among of a string of high profile speakers addressing the challenges of staying in tune with the pubic and their tastes and habits in a crowded market both in and out-of-home.

The conference will examine the changing role of marketing in hospitality and leisure and what sets it apart from fmcg promotion – and how to be both customer advocate and brand guardian within organisations.

The agenda will set out the sector’s priorities for 2017, including highlighting the need for greater understanding of consumer types, with a preview of CGA’s new food and drink focused segmentation work.

The event will be chaired by CGA Peach’s Peter Martin and Jamie Campbell.

Last year’s event attracted around 200 marketing and insight professionals, brand owners, board directors and entrepreneurs from across the eating and drinking out marketplace.

The CGA Peach Insight & Marketing Conference will be held on Thursday 6April at Kings Place, Kings Cross, London. Sessions start at 2.00pm and conclude at 5.45pm, followed by a drinks reception for discussion and networking.
